Bicycles were first introduced in Europe in the 19th century with the German invention of the Draisienne. This invention by Baron Karl von Drais was a wooden frame with two wheels. Steering was done using the front wheel while the vehicle was moved by the rider's feet. Over time, bicycles came to include pedals in tandem with chains or shafts to propel the vehicle, as well as hand brakes for stopping. Modifications were made to the frame, seating, a wheel designs until it came to be what we know today. If you are a cyclist, this Oval Magnet is a great way to show that you love your sport!
